Students from Xi’an Peihua University Won Awards in Chang’an Cup - Japanese Competence Performance Contest for Chinese College Students

Recently, the 23rd Chang’an Cup - Japanese Competence Performance Contest for Chinese College Students, jointly organized by China-Japan Humanities Exchange University League, Chinese Society for Japanese Language Teaching and Research and Xi’an International Studies University, came to an end. Lin Xinyi, a 2020 student of Japanese major in the School of Humanities and International Education of Xi’an Peihua University, won the second prize of group A with her outstanding performance and Qu Jiangbo, a teacher of Japanese major, was awarded Excellent Instructor in the contest.

 

The finalists of this year’s contest included 20 contestants from 18 provinces. Based on the topic of diet, which is closely related to people’s life, Lin Xinyi , from Xi’an Peihua University, elaborated many problems caused by food waste in today’s society, and then called on everyone to respond to the Clean Your Plate campaign, and suggested that we should try to improve our dietary structure, save resources starting from every little thing around us, and move towards a healthy life of green and low-carbon diet to contribute to the sustainable development of China and the world. Lin Xinyi’s presentation was close to life and positive, and her excellent performance, fluent Japanese, and confidence won the undisputed recognition of the judges and was awarded the second prize in group A.

 

The contest fully demonstrated the Japanese language proficiency of students from Xi'an Peihua University, as well as the research ability and critical thinking of Peihua Japanese majors who care about the development of times and are able to identify and analyze problems in the light of the actual situation.
